Adjust the view at commissioning

Motorized or manual varifocal lenses let the installer frame a target more precisely than a fixed lens when the distance is uncertain.

Do not confuse zoom with coverage

A tighter view improves target detail but covers less area. Pair it with an overview camera when context is also needed.
